So much for that home weather advantage.
We don't know if Rodgers changed that at the line or not. That's the big question
I need to see it again. Not sure if it was on Linsley or Rodgers.
There's nothing wrong with throwing on second and 1. It's better than throwing on third and 1. Second and 1 is when the defense thinks you're going to run. Then you still have third and 1 to get the first down. And it looked like they were going to run on that fumble.
They need to pull Guion off the field if he's going to keep making those mistakes. Make him sit for a series.
Big makeup play for Guion.
He went to the locker room with a hand injiury. Datone Jones has been taking his place. Matthews still in the middle.
Packers are really playing a lot of tight press coverage on the wide receivers. Really up in their faces.
Corey Moore hit Cobb pretty hard along the sideline. Peppers and Rodgers had some words for Moore after the play. Moore was happy to talk right back.
And Burnett is blitzing from a linebacker position in the middle.
Cobb had a ton of room there. The blocking down field must have been really good. He had a really good head start on the coverage.
So, we've got 58 yards of offense so far.
Burnett seems to be better skilled at it than the others. Lining him up as a nickel backer is something I think we're going to see more of as the season goes on. It gets six DBs on the field, but one of them is a big safety.
They wouldn't be tied. The Lions would be ahead.
This short yardage thing is not working at all.
The receivers are going to have to get the first downs.
I think we're going to be seeing Michael on the next series. They've got to give him a chance.
I'm not sure it's Starks' fault. The run game just isn't very good because of all the passing they've done.
Lamar Miller (rib) is questionable to return.
Starks probably shouldn't have bounced that outside. He had a nice hole between Lane Taylor and Corey Linsley. Bad decision.
They rank 19th in rushing defense.
