I would actually rather see Boyle than Kizer. I think he has more promise and will push to be the backup next year.

Any feeling for whether they're really going to try to give the younger players a look today? Seems we've been waiting a long time to see (eg) Tonyan in extended action.

Yeah, I think Tonyan will see a lot of time. Same with Oren Burks and Tony Brown. Maybe J'Mon Moore.

Hey Tom! For all the oline problems and the bears having a better roster, the Packers were only a couple completed passes from AR to MVS, ESB or Cobb to winning that game. AR only need to improve a little bit for this team to be at 10-11 wins this year.

No question. I was just telling a New York writer that they were in every game on the road except the Washington game. They had legitimate chances to win every single one of those and should have won against LA and Seattle.,

There's not many of anybody out there today. But of those 3,000 fans that are actually in their seats a lot of them are wearing Packers gear. A ton of cheeseheads in the stands. Not sure if there was a holiday sale or what.

Rodgers needs to maintain credibility in the locker room. There are a lot of guys playing hurt and he needs to be out there with them.

Probably not. Keep him around because he's not making that much money and can be an acceptable backup. Maybe it all clicks for him. He did put on a ton of weight in the off-season and I'm not sure he ever got used to that. Another year might help him out. But I would keep him.

No, but we've seen some moves today that affect the search. John Harbaugh re-signed, Ron Rivera is safe. Vance Joseph will be fired.

It was a miserable way to finish the season and they need to finish this one strong. But we certainly could see another miserable finish.

That's a bit strong. I don't think he's poison. I just think the coach needs to take some of the presence away from him. Make it appear it's Rodgers' team, but it's really the coach's team.

Yes, definitely. The personnel department will be looking at tape to see if anybody loafed or tried to play not to get hurt.

why would you say these aren't cobb's last games tom? he has been pretty massively underwhelming since he signed his big deal, and is constantly hurt. i was kind of hoping that with the departure of mccarthy, that his double talk about players being available would get straightened out. do you see the sub-par play of the wrs as a circumstance of "he who shall not be blamed" mccarthy's stale offense?
