Just a totally screwed up coverage there. Somebody forgot to cover Gordon.
Alexander and Jackson both bit on play-action and let Gordon run right down the field. Rookie mistakes.
This was set up with those WR screens the Patriots have been running. Alexander and Jackson have seen enough that they're going to be aggressive going to them. The Patriots see that and Brady makes them pay.
This is a total dismantling of an offense and defense. You can say the Patriots won the coaching battle tonight.
No, he's been darn good. That wasn't his fault. He was left in the open field with one of the best athletes in the game.
We said that on the podcast last week. They were 3-3-1. That described them perfectly. Now 3-4-1 will describe them exactly.
Now it's turning into a rout.
The Packers can't do anything.
OK, Rodgers did snap early to catch the Patriots with 12 men on the field.
It's hard for them to complete a screen.
The Patriots defense is just pinning its ears back now.
The offensive line is just getting over-run.
The Patriots are blitzing where there's no protection.
ESB was open on that deep ball and Rodgers sailed it a little too far to the outside.
ESB has to bend that outside sooner.
Patriots just make it impossible to throw anything over them. They line up tight to the line of scrimmage and then they bail out just enough to create coverage.
They're lining up with no safety at times and it's sort of up to Rodgers to figure out which guys are dropping back into the deep backfield.
The Patriots run over the Packers again. Bakhtiari got pushed righ back into Rodgers.
That's about it for this soon-to-be 3-4-1 team
I thought they would play better. I thought they would have a solid defensive game plan and they looked extremely vanilla.
Belichick definitely won the battle of defense vs. offense. He just kept Rodgers guess all game long and the pass rush just took its toll in the second half. I am surprised the pass blocking didn't hold up better It's not like all the rush is coming from Spriggs.
There may be if the Packers don't make the playoffs, which is certainly a possibility.
No, it didn't, but Pettine has experience against this defense and the Patriots were down Gronk, Michel and Mason.
There are too many layers to explain it here. I don't know all that is making this season seem as bad last year. They look helpless tonight.
C'mon, a fumble is their personality. Just like a roughing the punter penalty. That's exactly who they are.
No, they were playing better for most of the game. They were controlling the tempo and setting up plays and covering up all their warts. The Packers should have been a better team tonight based on the injury situation and the fact New England was on a short week.
Thanks a lot everybody. Another loss but that doesn't mean we won't be back next week for the Miami game.
Please have a safe night and check in for all our coverage after the game.
