I definitely would say they're not taking a guard. TT doesn't like to take guards in the first round and it's obvious he's worried about getting a starter out of this draft because he signed Jahri Evans. You don't make that move if you think you might get a guard in the first round. I know everyone thinks a corner would be ideal, but to me he has to be someone who can play right away. There's only a couple of those in the draft, if any. I would go pass rusher.

It really depends on the information they have. I'm sure NFL security went in and examined the case and tried to provide as much intelligence as possible. If it looks like there will be charges and the case could stick, they have to lay off him. If they're convinced he's innocent, then they have to consider him. There don't appear to be other red flags with him.

I am in Green Bay. That's where all the Packers' brass is and where all the local reporters are. The only people in Philly are the guys who take the cards up to the podium. The best place to cover it is right here unless the team you cover has a top 10 selection and you want to get a sit-down interview with the guy who gets drafted.

I can't see them taking Mixon. Man, would that cause a storm up here. And I'd be right at the front of the line asking Thompson why he thinks a guy who punched a woman deserves to be in his backfield and would he have taken him if that woman was his daughter. Cook has baggage, but I don't think it compares with Mixon. I think they could live with him.

I say inside. I know I'm in the minority here, but he was much healthier when he stayed inside and he can have an impact in coverage and the run. He really is good covering tight ends down the field. He can rush the passer on third downs and blitz on early downs. I think he'll just keep getting nicked up if he plays outside. That's why it's so important for the Packers to get an edge rusher in this draft.

With so much depth at needed positions like CB & OLB isn't this a perfect draft for Ted to trade down and pick up another pick? Unless he's in love with a guy on his board, I hope Ted tries to do this several times over the next few days. More picks = more shot of getting impact players. Plus team needs depth anyways after losing so many free agents.

I think this is the draft for him to move up. They can't afford to get a couple more Damarious Randall and Quinten Rollinses. He needs a guy who can play right away. He needs impact players and he's not getting those picking at 28, 29, 30. It's getting to the point now where he needs to take a few chances.

I think he has enough to hold the fort until a young guy finds his footing. But he's rarely hurt and while his play is declining, it wasn't like he was a turnstile last year. He was still pretty decent. I don't think he's the kind of athlete where he'll just crash. I think we'll see continued dropoff, but his play still may be sufficient enough to last the entire year.

The Packers need impact athletes. They don't need guys who played four years of basketball or a couple of years of baseball or are new to their position or didn't test well. If there's a potential starting receiver there, they have to take him. But odds are it will be a pass rusher or corner, which are two of the stronger positions in the draft.
