Punting was the right call in my opinion. I would have said that before the play call. I think they need to get back to pressuring Osweiler and stop letting him sit back in the pocket untouched. That's how he builds a rhythm.
Matthews appears to be playing only on passing downs. They are not playing him inside on early downs.
That's the first play Mike Pennel has made in about two months.
McCarthy is fuming after that third-down conversion. Stamped his feet as he walked down the sideline.
The Texans have gotten several first downs running the ball on third and long. Capers goes to dime and the Texans just run it right down their throat.
Bringing up another third down here. They have to threaten the blitz with seven guys up front.
Make it tough to run and threaten the blitz.
Big drop from Hopkins on the first one.
They had pressure on that one, that was the difference on the deep ball to Hopkins.
He didn't have time to let Hopkins out run the DBs. Anytime they get pressure on Osweiler they have success.
Good point. The offense has 112 yards.
The Packers are averaging 2.6 yards per carry, the Texans are averaging 3.5.
The tight end has not been a factor for the Packers until that pass. Still short of a first down.
Now it's third and 1. Back to Rip?
Johnathan Joseph is down injured for the Texans. Right in front of the Packers' bench.
Packers are now 2 of 10 on third downs with that huge run by Montgomery down the middle.
Looks like his helmet hit Montgomery's knees during that attempted tackle. Walking off the field slowly, doubling over at the waist.
Packers are 2 of 9 on third downs. Sorry.
Tough play for Jonathan Joseph.
