Rodgers and Sherman having a few words on the way to the locker room.
Good point. My memory stinks.
OK, I'm turning it over to Michael Cohen now. Time for some coffee.
Looked like Shead landed on Cook's arm during the deep pass down the left sideline.
I'm sure McCarthy does. Lacy was having a very strong season up until the injury. He gives the offense a clear identity when he's playing well.
Agree with this. Wilson is getting killed off the right side of his line of scrimmage. Packers eating up the RG and RT.
His shoulder was pretty messed up when I saw it last week. Can't imagine it got a whole lot better in just a week.
I did not. What happened?
Looked like a shoulder, perhaps. Trainers seemed to be fiddling around in his pads and things like that.
There's an old saying in sports that injured players get injured. In other words, guys who have a history of injuries generally keep getting hurt.
Honestly not sure if it's the same leg. He's had a lot of ankle/hamstring issues in my two years on the beat. I have trouble remembering which side it was.
I'll have to check for that on the replay tomorrow. Thanks for the headsup.
Good question. I think it can heal a little bit each week because he's making a concerted effort to avoid running. That should help him make progress, even if it's slow
Packers were really taking advantage of Shead during the first half. Several of their deep shots came against his coverage.
Haven't heard anything about it specifically. I imagine it's just an easy way to get people's attention rather than screaming and yelling in a place with lots of noise.
He certainly impressed me this season with his running power. I think the coaches are pleasantly surprised with his strength and durability.
Hard to say who was out of position without knowing the coverage. Joe Whitt taught me that lesson last season. It was a zone, and Randall made a nice move swooping inside for the pick. Also: Terrible throw by Wilson
You said it. Packers have been horrendous on defense in the last two minutes of a half. Big play by Randall to prevent another score.
Montgomery is a ball of muscle. He doesn't need to bulk up. He weighs the same or more than Starks and Michael.
