Kamara wide and he's short of the goal line.
Packers should look at this to see if it was coming out of his hands.
It's close, but if you challenge and lose, you lose the last timeout.
It looks like the ball slipped out of his hand before he hit but it's not definitive. You wouldn't win the challenge.
Brees with the QB sneak for 1 and a TD.
Easily a TD. Nice play by Brees.
And the PAT is good, making it a two-score game. SAINTS 26, PACKERS 17.
You'd have to challenge it right away and I'm not sure it was even clear then that had fumbled it. But I get your point.
There will be a lot of underneath routes open.
And that's going to be that. Hundley with the overthrown deep ball and Kenny Vaccao with the INT. Not sure who that was for. Maybe Bennett.
I'm not sure why Cobb and Bennett are running routes next to each other.
Saints take over at the 29.
That he doesn't have a very good rhythm or connection with his receivers and wasn't very good in his first start. Does it mean he's going to be terrible all year? Not necessarily.
But they have a lot of work to do to get him to be effective. They're going to have to keep working on structuring the offense to things that he can do.
They're going to have to make better use of their run game with regard to play-action, read-option, screens, etc..
Being able to run the ball against 8-man fronts was good, but if you can't parlay something off that with your passing game it's not enough to win games.
During the bye week, they need to figure out who they're going to be with Hundley at QB. They can't be the same offense they were with Rodgers. They're going to have to take advantage of Hundley's running more and try to get him to stretch the field with some deep balls. The Saints never had to worry much about deep passes.
Well, that's it, folks. Not a pretty performance by any means. The Packers are not a very competitive team right now. They have two weeks to get their act together for a big NFC North game against Detroit.
Well, thanks to everyone who checked in today. Seems like this will be a similar year to 2013 when Rodgers got hurt. We'll see how it goes.
Anyway, everyone have a safe and happy bye week and I'll see you in two weeks for the Lions game on Monday.
