That was a very nice scramble, but there should be some concern that nobody got open there. The Giants had some man coverage and nobody is beating it.
Well, they have one guy who can get open, I guess.
That's Nelson's fifth TD of the year.
Nelson made a great move on the dig route and then just pivoted and the rookie couldn't keep up.
That's a good drive to have when two of your starting corners are out.
Rodgers was 5 of 8 for 41 yards.
Rollins is on the left side, Gunter on the right and Hyde in the slot.
OBJ is lining up opposite Rollins.
The pass rush is going to have to be better than that because Rollins is not going to be able to stay with OBJ. Though the Giants did use a rub to get OBJ open.
Guion gets his hand on the ball and it's third and 9.
Nice looking blitz from Capers there. If Hyde doesn't fall down, he's got a sack. He wasn't blocked on that slot blitz.
On that last play, rather than go traditional dime, Capers brought in Burnett as the fourth corner and brought in Kentrell Brice to play safety. Burnett then blitzed. It's one way to keep pressure on Manning and keep him guessing.
Brice is someone the coaches are trusting more and more each week. Darren Perry said he deserves to be on the field and has played as well as anyone on defense since camp.
Janis is wide to the left.
That's the kind of run Lacy did more often as a rookie. Moving his feet and not just running into blockers.
I think they're going to pound him on this series.
Two runs, 23 total yards.
