Oh, and that's the end of the first quarter. We're just 15 away until the regular season starts.
We've got a new offensive line and a new back in the game.
Jamaal Williams pounds it up the middle for 4 on his first NFL carry.
Looked like a drop from Allison from up here.
And yet another drop, this time Jeff Janis on the sideline.
Much better punt than his 39-yarder earlier. Eagles start at the 9 after the muff and recovery.
OK. He seems to be settling for a lot of short routes, but that might be what McCarthy is calling. Lots of three-step drops. Nothing deep middle at all.
Jones with a nice job forcing the play inside to his help. That's what a good safety needs to do.
Hawkins and King are the CBs now.
Capers is bringing a lot of blitzers tonight. He said he wasn't going to be shy about showing things in the preseason.
Another high tackle, but they get away with it. Gunter shot through and was too high with his tackle.
Trevor Davis back for the punt.
I guess that's a positive for the special teams. That's a 68-yard TD return.
Very nicely blocked and a really good job of Davis catching the ball with someone bearing down on him and then putting on a move.
Crosby with the PAT. It's good.
They say, if you can make that first guy miss, you've got a good chance to break it. That's what Davis did. Evans looked like he was close to a block in the back.
I am powerless in all things managerial.
He's really vaulted up the depth chart. I think he's a lock to make the team. He's on just about every special teams unit. Seattle cut him only because of an injury. He was playing special teams for them.
It will be a lot tougher for him. He better kick some butt on coverage.
Capers is playing things pretty straight up right now. Just a straight nickel with Gunter in the slot and both safeties back.
The missed tackle meter continues to click...
But Gunter comes in and forces the fumble with a nice shoulder block. Ironic that he didn't really wrap up and still forced the fumble.
