Defensively, you might have to go to more of a zone look and try to stop Stafford from completing all the short stuff.
I guess it takes a flea flicker for the Packers to finally get to Stafford. But you take what you can get.
BTW, Damarious Randall is back.
Once again, the Lions have a better game plan than the Packers. They recognize the single coverage and they exploit a receiver on linebacker matchup. Ridiculous.
It was a terrible defense to call on second and 18. I don't know why you're in man on that down.
The Lions have converted 4 of 6 third downs tonight.
This is really pretty bad. They have no answer on third downs. They get in favorable down and distance and they can't make a stop.
Here comes another third down. The worst thing that could happen to the Packers defense.
I don't see a flag. Could it be a stop?
Capers blitzed a corner off the back side and Burnett up the middle. I think it finally had an effect.
Prater from 44 yards is right down the middle.
Good question. I would say Mike Trgovac, but he was a 4-3 guy when he was a coordinator. It could be Darren Perry.
They very well could be wrong with Hundley. I thought he had a poor pre-season and have said numerous times here and on the podcast that they should have kept Taysom Hill.
Not over Hundley, but as a third quarterback.
If Hundley can't play, at least you have a pro-sized quarterback with a big arm who can run.
Aaron Jones back in the game. I think we'll see more running now.
Hundley is really locked in on his receivers. He had Adams open over the middle on that throw to Nelson. It's like he's not going through his progressions.
That time Bakhtiari got beat and caused Hundley to get flushed.
That's just ridiculous. How can you not complete a screen pass. Why are you throwing it that high?
He's so quick to get out of the pocket.
Fourth and 2 and McCarthy is going for it. Might as well do a read-option here.
Lions were really fooled on that one.
McCarthy really has no idea what he wants to do with Hundley and I think it's because Hundley can't play.
There's nothing he can hang his hat on with Hundley. We haven't seen anything he can do consistently.
They're better off going with Callahan at this point.
I don't think that's a factor with Hundley. I think he just didn't keep stocking the QB position. Ron Wolf used to bring guys in every year just to see if he could upgrade. Hundley is the only QB he's drafted in three years.
You can put this on McCarthy, and maybe you're right, but I've seen him try several different ways to get Hundley going and the guy hasn't been successful in any of them. At some point, the QB has to perform.
And meanwhile, the defense is pathetic and now Morgan Burnett is hurt.
