Ha! That was pretty funny. Thanks for listening to the podcast. We appreciate it. The audience has really taken off since camp.
So far, the signs are pretty good with those two. King has been matched with Green today. Capers has to think highly of him to give that assignment. And Jones has been everywhere. Impressed with him today.
Not enough data to answer that yet.
I would like to see more of Jones yes.
Huh? Randall was a first, Rollins was a second. Hawkins, Evans and Joe Thomas were undrafted. Martinez was a fourth.
They tried one screen with Montgomery. Jahri Evans looked like he can barely run as a lead blocker. It didn't do anything.
They've still split Bennett out a good amount. But yes, his blocking is a huge boost because having R. Rodgers or Kendricks as your best blocker would be an issue. Even Cook was a poor blocker last year.
All right, guys, I'm out of here. Back to Tom!
OK, I'm back. I'm sure some of you are thrilled about that.
As I said, I think they need to go to a short, quick passing game. Go to no huddle and get the Bengals winded a little.
Lane Taylor is back on the field.
McCarthy will start with double tight end personnel.
Rodgers has all day and that makes a big difference. Kendricks has to be a bigger part of this offense, as I said in the first half. He fits what they do better than Bennett.
Rodgers has to take those short passes like that this half. If it's not there, get something.
First good run of the night for the offense. They're staying ahead of the down and distance now.
The Bengals think they got the ball from Montgomery, but the officials rule it was after forward progress wasa stopped.
They'll pick up a yard here with pass interference on the fade to Nelson.
Pretty solid from what I can tell. Most of the heat has come from Murphy's side.
They have four shots from the 1. No excuses.
That was not pretty. Kevin Minter comes from ILB unblocked and dumps Montgomery. Someone missed a block.
Smart play by Rodgers to press the defense and then get rid of it.
No sense trying to take it in yourself with a 6-7 defensive end waiting on you.
