Greetings everybody, welcome to the regular-season opener of the JSOnline and PackersNews live blog! Welcome to all our regulars and welcome to all the newcomers!
Well, as you saw during the preseason, Moore was terribly inconsistent and they can't afford to have a guy dropping balls in a regular-season game against a division opponent. The guys who practice the best will play and apparently, the other two practiced better this week.
He would be a nice addition to play the nickel spot where the safety lines up as a linebacker. I could see him filling that role well. But you don't want him deep. He doesn't run very well and is very much a box safety.
I think he could have a sack and maybe a hit or two, but I'd be surprised if he did a lot. He's probably not going to play all that much unless the Bears are out of their minds. If I were the Packers I wouldn't be afraid to run it at him.

I think lack of depth at offensive line, inside linebacker and wide receiver are concerns.
I'd really like to know the story behind his injury. All of a sudden it popped up today?
Good call. I hadn't thought of that. Let's put it at 2 and see what happens.
Yes, you'll probably see Kendricks and Tonyan in the backfield when a tight end is needed.
Not really. I think I wrote that in my 5 things to watch that I thought Brown would be active because he's been the most consistent. Not the most dynamic, but the most consistent.
I do see that as a possibility. Why not put Lewis to the right and just pound it at Mack. He hasn't had a training camp so he's not in football shape. If you were going to do that, tonight would be the night.
I wonder if Philbin's return will help in that regard. They really lost their knack with screens. But Mike Holmgren used to say, you have to practice it a lot if you're going to be good at it. I don't know if they're willing to do that.
Tonight it's soda until I realize it's not pumping enough caffeine to my brain and then go with the IV coffee drip.
Amen, brother! And don't be mad if you're post doesn't get through. I'm trying the best I can to give everyone a voice, but the comments come flying down my screen. I recommend shorter posts because I don't have time to read anything long. Hope that helps.
I'm going to say Antonio Morrison. The Bears are going to run the ball a good deal and he's going to be in the game on running downs. I"m not saying he'll do well, I'm just saying that would be a surprise.
Probably the Saints game. I didn't see Ryan Fitzpatrick playing like Tom Brady. What a day.
My guess is Jaire Alexander or Randall Cobb. Montgomery on kickoffs I would think.
