I thought he initiated the contact and didn't disengage quick enough.
I'm not saying it wasn't. I was just describing it. Cobb may not have expected it like that because he did not turn for it quickly enough.
It has to be through pass rush. They've got to find a way to get to Ryan. I think they should give Perry some snaps over the right tackle.
They really miss Daniels inside, but there's nothing you can do about that. Maybe they need to play Matthews inside and put Perry on the left.
They're going base 3-4 on first down.
Jake Ryan just got blown off the ball. So did Blake Martinez.
This is where they really miss Mike Daniels. No one is beating blocks and blowing up running lanes.
Atlanta is doing a great job blocking down on the ends. Rollins got driven deep into the middle of the field .
Lots of them tonight. I don't know if it's related.
How does Perry miss that sack?
If they could find 10 other Kevin Kings they'd have a pretty good defense tonight.
He's been their best player.
That was the kind of ending they needed. But they gave up too many yards and they're going to wind up giving the 3 points back.
Bryant from 53, right down the middle. FALCONS 34, PACKERS 10.
They played them at home on that quagmire of a field. And they did a better job getting after Ryan. The Falcons are very, very difficult to beat at home. They are built for this kind of field.
They're only hope is to get them at Lambeau Field.
For one, we've only seen it for two games. I"m pretty sure you were impressed with the defense last week and thought they had turned it around. You can't take too much from any one game. What did you think when New England gave up 500 yards against Kansas City? It's a long season and teams take time to find their identity. We don't know whether this defense is what it was last week, or today or something in between. It has to play out over 16 games.
