Good evening from FedExField in Landover, Maryland. It's 87 degrees with a heat index of about 90. Winds are negligible. For those of you looking for Tom, you're stuck with me tonight.
Not playing for the Packers: Pearson (ankle), Dupre, (concussion), Randall (concussion), Jones (ankle), House (hamstring), Goodson (knee), Stanback (hamstring), Biegel (foot), Barclay (ankle), Peck (neck), Montgomery (lower leg), M. Adams (foot)
This means Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson WILL play tonight. I'm guessing one series for each.
Tom is alive and well. He's back in Wisconsin. Then we are flipping for Denver next week. I'll be staying home and Tom will be back with his flock.
Tom and I analyzed the WRs in our podcast earlier this week. We had Nelson, Adams, Cobb, Allison, Janis, Davis and Yancey making the team.
That was Pete. He's right next to me and he's furious. Wow. How inconsiderate.
Nope. Spent my day at a soccer bar with a buddy from college.
No. That was spur-of-the-moment, I believe.
Josh Jones (ankle) is not playing. It's a precautionary thing. He got stepped on earlier this week and dropped out of practice.
Clinton-Dix, Burnett, Jones, Brice, Evans. No Banjo, no Hyde.
Thanks Donny. They're fun to put together. It takes a while to record and mix them all, but the listernship has been off the charts.
That has not been released yet.
Beats me. I am pretty surprised. Especially since Rodgers said publicly that he doesn't want to play.
Nope. I asked earlier this week. Bob said no.
Justin Vogel has the best chance. With a rookie class of 10, it's hard to find many others that make it.
I was being facetious. Pete is not mad at all. It happens :)
The walk from the parking lot was moist for the writers as well.
On every play I try to keep my eye on the line of scrimmage for a quick second after the ball is snapped. I look at the initial movement of the O-line and D-line to get a sense of whether the play might break down immediately, and then I turn my attention to the QB (or wherever the ball is) a moment later. Give it a shot. Stare at the line of scrimmage for a tenth of a second after the ball is snapped, then turn your eyes to the QB. It's a good exercise, I think.
The stadium is at least 50% empty. There are lots of Packers fans though.
I don't know what you mean. I'm just typing like normal.
I think that has to be the focus, right? Last week was so pass-heavy.
Both re: Rodgers. There are lots of opinions on this. I am of the mind that Rodgers shouldn't play at all in the exhibition games. I don't see the value. Other people see it differently.
