@Joe from Indy: The only thing they have to do is get to 53. They could cut to 51.
I don't mind being called lame, but you could have asked if I had seen Bob's post. I had not.
I think you can count on it.
Well, these are just the ones we know about. It's possible they've made many others.
3 p.m. is the deadline for the team to get to a maximum roster of 53.
I wouldn't rule it out. But as of last night they had not reached out to Goode.
I think it's possible. Mays said he was ready for a heavy workload vs. KC, and then didn't play. There are reasons for that, I'm sure. When asked if teams "stash" players by not playing them, McCarthy said he felt teams used to do that, but not so much. I guess we'll find out in this case...
@Dean: They wouldn't be sources then :-D
If you're expecting great grammar and spelling on this blog then reluctantly I'm going to have to recommend you go someplace else. I'm doing three things at once and I don't have much time for editing or crafting rhythmic sentences. It's just the way this thing works. I wish I could do better.
Yes. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe they'd get docked a draft pick. I'm not sure. But I would think there's a penalty.
I read that he's hurt. I think it's a knee injury.
If I knew that, I'd be in the Hall of Fame, right?
I'm starting to think yes, but I don't know for sure.
Not completely. I thought they would keep him for special teams purposes, especially if they're going to let Trevor Davis go. Those are their two best gunners. From that standpoint, it is surprising.
They have to have everything submitted to the league by 3 p.m. The league spends some time compiling them. They do not force the teams to release the information, so sometimes they don't. The league releases an official list usually Saturday evening.
Can confirm that the Packers have moved on from OL Adam Pankey.
Jim Owczarski reporting that OL Adam Pankey has been released. Not too surprising after the way he played in Oakland. He was just steamrolled.
Yeah, Bell is going to make it I think.
