It's a pain thing. How long it takes before he can move without pain. The injury is really in the chest area and he's got to be able to withstand a hit there. So, I'm not sure how long.
@MJ - usually you know why, just by watching. Obv. when Sitton was cut there were plenty of questions, but little opportunity to ask them, let alone get them answered.
I like the guy. I was mentioning it in the live blog Thursday night. I think he's a guy to keep an eye on. Probably practice squad material, but I know he hasn't been released yet. So we'll see.
@Kevin - I don't believe so, but that's something to watch in the coming days.
Doubt it just because everybody knows what it is. An SC joint sprain. Most teams can consult their doctors to see the timeline.
They've got two firsts next year. Could address it there.
I think they might speak to released players. McCarthy often does it. The personnel guys might ask them to look at film on someone they're thinking of claiming on waivers.
I don't hate that thought.
@Mike - nah. That's just ... noise.
@Paul (and others) - if Madison remains on the did not report list, he would not count against the 53 but the Packers would retain his rights.
Just found out the Packers are shopping Trevor Davis around to see if they can get anything for him. Interesting. Might mean they're going to keep all three rookies.
They have a pretty good sense of who is going to get cut. They spend hours analyzing other teams' rosters and predicting who will come and go. Only if they hear of some surprise might it change their thinking. But I suspect that's rare.
It would be a conditional 7th, I would think. A 6th if they're lucky.
