@Couch GM - sorry, the Internet can't handle all this Packers fire. I tweeted Yancey, but forgot to toggle over here. Yes.
TE Kevin Rader has been released. Could be a prospect for practice squad. He was an undrafted free agent.
Good question. I thought he had a nice camp, but there are so many receivers out there that I'd have to think he would not be claimed.
Good question. I'm interested to see whether we hear about any internal battles.
@Mike - I think that's what happened with the Pipkins/Morrison trade. Today that type of deal is not as likely, IMO.
WR DeAngelo Yancey has been released, according to our Jim Owczarski
@GuteKnowsBest - I can't speak for Earl Thomas, but with ongoing litigation, I don't think teams will move on Reid.
They're not interested in him. Could be that they'll try to get Tonyan on there. I don't know for sure.
Yeah, they're just not interested I guess. That's what I was told.
No, because there's only a few names out. I'll look when the official list comes out or I see a name that might seem intriguing.
They need to clear the full 37 I believe. That includes IR, suspension, etc....No one is eligible for PUP.
Sometimes that is true. Good observation.
That's a lot of unemployment.
Yes. You might have missed it before, but I clarified earlier than anyone with four years or more experience is a free agent.
I forgot about Hundley. Thank you. I was not including any impending suspension, IR, DNR, stuff.
Early in camp I thought he did but then he just disappeared. Lost a lot of weight to help him at OLB, but it just didn't help.
I think it's stronger because the secondary is deeper. Receiver isn't as deep but the running backs are more experienced and there are more veterans on the team. I do see them as more talented as a year ago.
There is one exception to the three seasons thing. Each team gets one spot for a guy with more than three years, but if the roster drops under 53, he has to either be signed to the 53 or released.
I do try to follow up, but typically the team doesn't like to talk ill of a guy they just cut.
They still have to negotiate a contract. It's not done until they can do that.
