I've got to do a little bit of newspaper work, so I'll be gone for about 5 minutes or so. Take a break and let's reconvene just before the Packers make their next pick. Be back in a sec.
Hey guys, I'm here to give Tom a break. How's everyone doing?
Swinging big, I like it. I'm of the mindset that it would be unwise for the Packers to enter 2017 with Montgomery and Michael as their top running backs. I thought the Packers would take Perine at the top of Round 4.
This makes two years in a row the Packers have gone for an older OLB. Kyler Fackrell, entering his second year, will be 26 in November. 26!!
I'll be second string my whole life.
I don't really have a "Favorite" pick but I think Kevin King was the most astute choice by the Packers so far. Their cornerback situation was a real mess. King needs to play right away.
Biegel turns 24 in July. So no, he's not 22.
Marlon Mack from South Florida and Jamaal Williams from BYU. Williams has some character concerns. Not sure if Thompson would go that route.
Cereal, yogurt, blueberry muffin. I appreciate you asking.
I agree with you Isaac. That's why I thought Perine was a legitimate option. He reminds me of Lacy in terms of body type. Jamaal Williams is 6-0, 212. That's pretty good size.
I've heard Blount linked to the Giants quite frequently. I'm not sure if the Packers would take a look at Blount, but I think it makes sense. He's a big back with proven goal line success. Packers could use somebody like that.
I like Mack's explosiveness. He's not a true power back, but man, he's got runaway speed. Montgomery doesn't have that. Michael does, but he's a little erratic.
And is not proven to run between the tackles 25 times a game.
He let Martellus Bennett go too. Does that mean Bennett is done and the Packers just wasted $8 million per year?
I would rather have Bennett than Cook.
I think that's a decent comparison. On the podcast with Bob the other night I said Christine Michael is kind of like an undisciplined version of Starks.
