Sure doesn't look like they're scrambling to make a trade. Looks to me like they know who they're going with.
In my opinion. That wasn't the pick.
That's what's on in the media auditorium.
TT talking to Dom Capers. What does that mean?
And now there's hand shakes and they're clapping their hands in the Packers draft room.
The pick is in: Reports coming in that it's CB Kevin King.
Someone pat Bob McGinn on the back. Second year in a row he got the right guy.
So Packers seem to have gotten the guy they were willing to take in the first round at No. 33 and picked up a fourth. But no Watt or Foster.
Jim Taylor making the call on the pick.
So, it's officially King.
Well, he'll be measured against T.J. Watt and Reuben Foster for quite awhile.
Seattle move back one spot.
King in interview: I came here to be on the stage and get my hat. I wouldn't have come here if I didn't think I would get picked (Thursday), But I'm from Oakland and we don't run from anything.
Scouts said of King: "When people saw how he ran and moved around his stock went up. He's a little leggy. I think change of direction and quicker receivers will be a challenge for him."
Said another: "A lot of times he played in the slot, which (strange) for his body type. He's an instinctive, aware player. He could be a starter. He ran faster than I thought he would."
One more: "Big guy, fast. He just doesn't move well enough. Not productive at all. He just gets beat all the time. Very limited toughness in the run game."
King started 14 games at CB last year. Honorable mention all-Pac-12.
Eliot Wolf is coming down to talk about King. I'll transcribe as much as I can.
