Jacksonville and the NY Jets are two teams who have to be interested in moving up to get DeShone Kizer. I have to think that Cleveland is interested as well. Jags are at No. 35, Jets are at No. 39 and Browns are at No. 52.
There are. Cook, Mixon, Sidney Jones (if healthy), Lawson, Awuzie, Tabor are all potential impact guys.
It really depends on what they think about his off-the-field stuff. King is a much safer pick.
Possible. But Kizer would seem to me to be the target at 33.
If he trades back to Jacksonville or the Jets, he'll be trying to get a third, but the going price is a fourth. My guess is he'll try to get a third and then have to give back a fifth or something like that. A lot of it is demand. How badly do teams want to move up?
That's a tough one. He is really talented and he claims he'll be ready in September. But I worry about a guy who blows his Achilles' in a workout. Tells me something could be structurally wrong and he's susceptible to another tear.
No, I think it will be for a couple of picks.
If they draft Kizer, it's because they intend to trade him or Hundley and probably have a deal in place.
I can't see TT drafting Mixon. I just can't. The blowback would be more than he or the organization is willing to take on.
I kind of think so. There are some good ones they can go after in the free agent period right after the draft. But I will say this: if there's a guy who's sitting there and he's head and shoulders above everybody else, they will take a receiver. They have to plan for losing Adams, Nelson getting older and Montgomery moving to running back. I think you'll see one taken.
Those usually happen the week of the draft, sometimes the day of the draft. I can't remember too many players getting traded during the draft.
Richardson is another Guion. Why do you want to mess with that? I'd have to look up his contract, but I don't think they want to pay him.
First of all, he slugged a woman. It wasn't a barfight. It wasn't a scuffle. He broke her face. Ray Rice practically got expelled from the country once that video came out. Secondly, he has multiple incidents with women. He reportedly tore up a ticket and threw it in a female parking attendant's face and then acted like he was going to run her over. Exactly what lessen did learn at Oklahoma? Have you specifically seen him go around and talk publicly over and over again what a mistake he made. And when you said "we" forgave Ahman Green. I never did. He was gone shortly after all that happened.
I wouldn't discount Cunningham, Lawson, Tabor or Awuzie. They all have something to offer. And what if they trade back and Lamp is still sitting there? That's a position of need in the future.
I misjudged how teams were assessing his off-the-field issues. We know the guy can play. But the fact no one took him in the first makes me think the Packers have questions about him. He might still be on their board, but I think the need for a corner outweighs everything and they obviously don't covet Cook as much as I originally thought.
We were off the charts last night. I think we had 30,000 unique page views and there were close to 5,000 people on the blog at its peak. Only a couple of games have reached that level. The single biggest day for blog audience, however, is cutdown day. Blows everything else out of the water. Well over 100,000 views.
Completely. If he drafts him, it is to trade him or Hundley at some point.
